Give ‘The Acolyte’ a second season, you cowards

I’m not going to beat around the bush on this one. Disney and Lucasfilm need to announce that they’re renewed The Acolyte for a second season as soon as possible. If they don’t, if they leave this show in limbo (or worse, if they announce there isn’t a second season), then the legion of trolls who made hating The Acolyte their personality have won.
Do not repeat what you did with The Last Jedi, Lucasfilm. Don’t abandon this show. Don’t sacrifice yet another story that features people of color to score points with this toxic crowd. (What Lucasfilm and JJ Abrams did to Kelly Marie Tran’s Rose Tico in The Rise of Skywalker was unforgivable.)
“I know there are plenty of Star Wars fans that look like you and me already, but it’s exciting that in this new iteration we have Lee Jung-Jae, myself, [Amandla Stenberg], Jodie Turner-Smith,” Manny Jacinto told GQ. “Even more people of color will be able to relate to and celebrate and see themselves in this entity that is Star Wars.”
Is The Acolyte perfect? No. But show creator Leslye Headland has managed to do something within Star Wars lore when it comes to the Force, the Jedi and the Sith that we haven’t seen anyone besides Rian Johnson do.
