Hello! Welcome to The Box Office Report for the weekend of Feb. 28-March 2, 2025.

1. Captain America: Brave New World

Weekend gross: $15M
Total domestic gross: $163.7M
Last weekend: 1st
Percent drop: 47

While the Oscars celebrated the best of the movies we watched in 2024, not many people bothered to head out to the movies that are in theaters this weekend.

Captain America: Brave New World won its third weekend in a row, doing so with a measly $15 million. The fourth Captain America movie continues to outpace only Captain America: The First Avenger through three weekends ($143.2 million) while trailing Captain America: The Winter Soldier ($200.5 million) by a bit and Captain America: Civil War ($347.2 million) by a ton.

I had no idea that there was a new movie coming out starring Woody Harrelson and Simu Liu. But it turns out $7.8 million worth of moviegoers knew it existed.
